LEGIC technology saves the authorisation information in the ID . The control electronics in the fitting (wall reader, i-Locker bolt lock) compares this information with its own and if they match, it grants entry. As well as this, information (e.g. who used the lock and when, battery status) can be taken from the fitting and written back onto the ID.
The LEGIC model is therefore particularly suited to managing access authorisations for open user groups, where access profiles often change. This requires writeable IDs and constant communication with the management software.
LEGIC is an industry standard. The IDs are based on non-reproducible, passive, non-touch chip technology. The IDs are maintenance-free, i.e. they do not require batteries.
