SVN – virtual network
First and foremost, a good solution must also be an economical one – this consideration played a critical role in the development of the virtual network technology. Whilst until now locking authorisation could only be carried out quickly and without complicated door programming when using wired online access control solutions, XS4 also makes this possible without wiring.
The data exchange between the non-wired locking units and the management software takes place via the ID used by the operator. Administration and authorisation information, such as access profiles, calendar information, battery status or access results, are transferred. This method is also used to block IDs which have been lost. The wire is thus replaced by the virtual network of IDs that are in use.
This unique data exchange process saves valuable personnel resources in day-to-day operations and optimises maintenance work, as it is no longer necessary to update information manually. The management also takes place centrally and simply for non-wired door units in the same way.
