The new SALTO XS4 locking system is starting out!
The best solution for every type of door
From practical experience - for practical use: The new SALTO XS4 product line – the enhancement of the electronic SALTO locking system being used worldwide - is tailored specifically to the requirements of the international market for more flexibility and general-purpose usage. For the XS4 fitting, the highest level of importance was attached to combination with existing locks. The operating concept was changed from blocking to free-running handles. Unique on the market is the recorded overlock mechanism, which is also now electronically stored.
All new XS4 products are fully compatible with the existing SALTO system platform and work, as previously, on the basis of the proven SVN technology with non-cabled door stations ("SALTO virtual network"). The software for managing the system is now based on an MS-SQL database and therefore supports all of the security and comfort features of a professional database system.
The design has also been developed further. The universal wall reader family, matching the new fitting, was presented in 2006. Now the read head on the fitting also has an updated design.
SALTO locking and door management system. New with e-cylinder!
In the SALTO XS4, an electronic locking system is available that extends well beyond the possibilities of a fitting. In addition to i-Locker bolt locks, wall readers and switching mechanisms, an electronic cylinder, the e-cylinder, has also been added to the platform. The new e-cylinder compliments the SALTO family. It can be installed easily and without wiring on fittings already on the door. It is also ideal for types of door that do not permit fittings, such as fire doors and areas under preservation orders. Its design and measurements make it perfect for tubular frame doors. Being part of the SALTO platform, it is SVN-capable and hence also networks without cabling. The identification procedure is verified by an optic and acoustic feedback signal from the e-cylinder.

Now fittings, e-cylinders, wall readers and i-Locker bolt locks can be used as part of the locking solutions from SALTO, depending on the type of door within the property. This means the perfect locking technology is available for every door. No matter whether online or offline – the virtual network keeps management clear and simple.
The selection of identification technology is entirely up to the requirements and desires of the operator.
