Cities, particularly inner cities, have experienced a renaissance over the last ten years. The Überseequartier in Hamburg – a designer project developed directly on the River Elbe – represents a revival in the forms of urban living in public spaces.
The city within a city
The Überseequartier is just a stone's throw from Hamburger city centre. However, when you step onto this island on the Elbe, it's like entering another city, as the operator Überseequartier Beteiligungs GmbH likes to call it. This city has absolutely everything. Public spaces and private living environments, hip stores, cafés, clubs and restaurants dominate the living landscape of HafenCity. Mechanical security solution for HafenCity
Over 300 apartments, more than 100 offices and about 30 stores in the Überseequartier are equipped with EVVA's mechanical locking system EPS (Extended Profile System). EPS stands out due to its multi-overlap key profile and authorisation check on several levels. Thanks to a combination of various lock query techniques, EPS can be used to implement larger locking systems and also expand systems at any time. Optimum service & good price/performance ratio
Thanks to a robust locking system and not least because of an excellent price/performance ratio, the security officers at HafenCity decided to acquire an EVVA system. EVVA partner Schmielau & Brandes GmbH really impressed with its first-class references. This Hamburg-based security expert is synonymous with integrated security solutions and professional on-site services. An exit controller with activable pre-alarm
2,000 double cylinders, half cylinders und letter box cylinders from the EPS locking system have been installed in seven different building complexes in Hafencity. An exit controller model has also been fitted. Building operators need to know whether their emergency exits are closed and secured or if they have been opened. The exit controller produces an acoustic signal as soon as an emergency exit is opened, whether it be during an emergency escape situation or during unauthorised usage. It is often used in stores and other retail outlets.
