EVVA has received the City of Vienna's "Ökoprofit award" for first-class environmental management for many years in a row. This shows how seriously EVVA takes its responsibility towards the environment. Along with 800 other Viennese companies, EVVA is one of the enterprises which not only safeguards the environment as a result of its management practices, but also makes huge savings on costs – a total of 55 million euros over recent years.
As an industrial enterprise, we have a particularly special responsibility towards the environment. Sustainable economic activity and environmental protection are thus a key part of our corporate strategy. This includes, among many other things, reducing consumption of resources, decreasing energy and waste costs, preventing waste, re-using existing materials and recycling.
EVVA will also be increasing its environmental protection activities in the future as part of its corporate social responsibility strategy. EVVA will publish its current sustainability report in spring 2011, giving an extensive account of its achievements with regard to social welfare, business and the environment.
