news, press | 06. May 2010 SKIDATA and EVVA combine advantages
A single card for your hotel room, the ski lift and the parking area
The essential features for you at a glance: "Two cards have found one another"
A single keycard for everything
A new era of convenience has arrived for both ski enthusiasts and summer visitors: Guests now only need one SKIDATA keycard during their stay in mountain resorts. It offers access to hotel facilities, such as rooms, the spa centre, safe and ski storeroom, as well as to the ski lift and parking area. This improved convenience is made possible as a result of a close, long-standing partnership between SKIDATA and EVVA. The solution is based on the latest identification technologies.
Up the mountain and also into bed
Back in 1997, EVVA was the first in the sector to bring onto the market a hotel locking system which is compatible with contactless ski lift cards. EVVA's current XS4 Access Control System uses the latest technologies and can also integrate cable cars, ski lifts and parking facilities which are equipped with SKIDATA technology. Existing EVVA systems in hotels can simply be upgraded to include XS4 in many cases.
What it offers guests and businesses:
- Greater convenience for guests: A single keycard for everything - mountain sports, hotel, parking
- Hoteliers widen their range of services; ski passes (= keycards) can now also be issued in hotels
- No waiting in queues at ski lift ticket offices; work is made easier for ski lift operators in peak periods
- The improved value for customers makes the whole region more attractive as a holiday destination
- Particularly innovative solution with state-of-the-art, ISO-compatible keycards and state-of-the-art FlexSpace card formatting
- Supremely reliable technology: EVVA is one of the top manufacturers of security technology while SKIDATA is a world market leader in ticketing
In the next few weeks, EVVA will launch comprehensive communication activities to inform hoteliers, ski lift operators and their customers about the advantages of the system.
