EVVA welcomes Czech security experts GUARD.
EVVA is one of the leading manufacturers of security technology in Europe and acquired the Czech locking systems specialist GUARD on April 1, 2009.
Two partners - a single vision
The close partnership between GUARD and EVVA offers substantial advantages: Long-term job security, bundling of combined expertise and continued consolidation of the Czech security system market. EVVA, market leader in innovative developments, und GUARD, leading producer of security cylinders in the Czech Republic, have now joined forces. In EVVA, the 30 Czech employees at the production plant in Tišnov now have an innovative, reliable company at their side.
The two successful companies have surprisingly a great deal in common – both have been amongst leading manufacturers since their inception and have an excellent reputation among experts today as well as in the past. Founded in 1919, EVVA is now represented by 13 subsidiaries in Europe and distributors worldwide. EVVA received its first patent for a cylinder padlock in 1937 and today has filed over 140 national and international patents. EVVA products are much valued and widely used the world over. GUARD: A history of quality
Founded by the Czech Karel Mudroch in Vienna in 1906, GUARD produces its security locks and locking systems in Tišnov. Almost at the same time as EVVA, in 1932, Mudroch brought his own patent onto the market under the name "GUARD". Since that time, the Czech company has enjoyed an excellent reputation as a specialist in lock cylinders. To date, it has produced more than 7,000 locking systems for places such as ministries, government buildings and many other public institutions.
